Our whole content workflow lives in Notion. One database holds every article with status, writer, target keyword, due date and a link to the brief, and everyone works from the same view.
What I set up:
– A board view by status (idea, briefed, writing, editing, published) for daily work, and a calendar view for planning.
– A brief template inside the database, so a new card already has sections for search intent, outline and internal links.
– A relation to a keywords database to avoid assigning the same keyword twice. It killed most of our cannibalization.
– Filtered views per writer so they only see their own tasks.
Downside: it gets slow with large databases and many embedded pages, and the offline experience is weak. Also it is easy to overbuild. We started with 30 properties and now use 10.
