Client is a mid size personal finance publisher, about 3,500 URLs, moving to a new domain as part of a rebrand. They also want to change the URL structure at the same time, which I am already nervous about.
I do their ongoing SEO, but I want a second pair of hands who has done several migrations of this size:
– review redirect map (I will build the first version)
– pre launch checklist, staging crawl, canonicals, hreflang (they have UK and US)
– launch day monitoring and first 6 weeks of checks
– Search Console change of address and log file review
Launch is planned in about 7 weeks. Budget is roughly $2k-4k for the whole thing depending on scope.
Please reply with how many migrations you have handled, the largest one, what went wrong on at least one of them and how you fixed it. I trust people more when they admit the messy parts.
