I stopped building monthly reports by hand about two years ago and moved everything into Looker Studio. It is free, connects natively to GA4, Search Console and Google Ads, and clients get a link that is always current.
Things that made it actually useful for me:
– Build one template with a data source control dropdown, then reuse it for every client instead of copying reports.
– Blend GSC and GA4 on landing page so you see clicks and conversions side by side. Normalise the URL fields first or the join misses rows.
– Add a date comparison to every scorecard. Clients read the green and red arrows before anything else.
– For Meta or TikTok data, pipe it into a Google Sheet and connect the sheet rather than paying for a connector straight away.
Downside: it gets slow once you have a lot of blended sources on one page, and the GA4 connector hits quota limits on busy dashboards. Keep pages light.
