Thinking about running a broken link campaign for a site in the home improvement niche. The classic method: find dead pages that still have backlinks, recreate something better, email the people linking to the dead page.
Every guide about it is years old. Is anyone still getting results with this or have webmasters stopped responding to these emails completely?
Still works but the response rates are way lower than the old case studies. I ran one earlier this year: about 300 emails, 11 links. That’s with personalised emails and a genuinely better replacement resource.
The good part is those 11 were real links on real resource pages, not stuff you pay for.
