A lot of people don’t know Ahrefs has a free tier for sites you can verify (via GSC or DNS). You get Site Audit and Site Explorer data on your own domains.
Good for:
– Seeing your backlink profile without paying
– Weekly site audit with internal linking issues
– Keywords you rank for beyond what GSC shows easily
Obviously you can’t research competitors with it, but for your own properties it’s a great free add-on.
The site audit in AWT is surprisingly decent. The internal link opportunities report is my favorite part, finds pages that mention a keyword but don’t link to the target page.
Worth noting the backlink data there is Ahrefs’ index, so it’ll show more links than GSC’s Links report in most cases. Nice for spotting spammy links pointing at you too.
