Mini rant but also looking for a reality check.
New site in the home coffee niche. Started in February. What I’ve done:
– 90 articles, all written by me, most with my own photos of the gear
– clean WordPress theme, fast, no ads yet
– about 25 referring domains, all from outreach, no paid stuff
– GSC shows everything indexed, average position around 35-40
Clicks: 30-50 a day, flat since June. Impressions go up slowly, clicks don’t follow.
Every time I ask about this I get “new sites take time” which, sure. But I’ve also seen people launch in the same period and hit a few hundred a day by month 5.
So what’s a realistic timeline for a brand new domain in a competitive hobby niche right now? At what point do you stop blaming age and start assuming the content or the site itself is the problem? And what would you check first?
