I’m running outreach for 3 sites by myself and I’m maxed out at around 150 emails a week. Thinking about hiring a VA part time to do prospecting and first drafts while I handle replies.
For those who did this: what did you hand over first, how long before they were useful, and what went wrong? I’m worried mostly about them sending generic junk under my name and burning contacts.
Did it last year. Start with prospecting only, no sending. Give them a sheet with pass/fail rules and 20 examples of good and bad targets. It took about 3 weeks until I stopped rejecting half of what they found.
Only after that I let them draft emails, and I still approve every one for the first month. Loom videos helped way more than written docs.
