Client had an unnatural links manual action from a previous agency’s work. We cleaned up, disavowed, and the reconsideration went through about 6 weeks ago. Traffic is slowly coming back, around 60% of where it was.
Now they want to start building links again, and I’m nervous about the pace. Before the penalty they were getting 30-40 new referring domains a month, almost all paid.
What pace would you go with here, and would you avoid certain link types completely for the first year?
