Managing links for 4 sites on a small budget. I use one backlink tool, but the lost links alerts are noisy, they flag links as lost when the page just got a new URL parameter or the crawler hit a timeout.
Last month it said we lost 70 links, and when I checked by hand only about 12 were genuinely gone.
How do you track lost links in a way that’s actually reliable? A spreadsheet with manual checks on the important ones, a script, something else?
