Launching a small store next month, home and kitchen stuff, around 80 products at start. No domain history, no links, basically zero budget for SEO beyond my own time.

I keep reading conflicting advice. Some say blog from day one, some say forget content and focus on category pages, some say just run ads until the domain has some age.

If you had 6 months and maybe 10 hours a week, what order would you do things in?

    Rough order I’d go with:

    1. clean up the technical basics first, collections and product urls, no duplicate product paths through collections, sort out the auto-generated tag pages
    2. category (collection) pages with real text, written for the actual search terms, these are your money pages
    3. unique product descriptions, not the supplier copy
    4. only then some content, and only topics that link naturally to collections

Blog from day one is fine if you enjoy writing but it won’t carry a new store.
