    Doing an audit for a site that has thousands of spammy scraper links pointing at it. The previous agency disavowed about 800 domains over the years.

    Google has been saying for a while they mostly ignore this stuff. Do you still bother with disavow outside of manual actions? And would you remove the old file or leave it alone?

    Outside of a manual action or a clear paid-link history I don’t touch it anymore. Scraper spam gets ignored anyway.

    The old file I’d leave alone unless you have a specific reason. Removing 800 domains at once is a test you can’t really undo quickly.
